Featured Project: In Progress

Set in the desert of the Morongo Valley, these customers are building two Mighty Small Homes at the foothills of California’s Joshua Tree National Park. One kit will be used for a primary residence, and the other kit is being be built as an accessory dwelling unit (ADU).

These customers chose to first build their ADU kit, a 600 sq. ft. Modern model set over a slab foundation, with 20’ x 30’ dimensions and featuring an optional storage loft (that's the structure featured in the photos here). The primary residence, a 1,250-square-foot custom Ranch model, is slated to begin construction in 2024.

In a region where temperatures range from the low 40s to the high 90s, our kits' structural insulated panels (SIPs) eliminate the need for additional insulation. As a result, both structures will be 60% more energy efficient than traditional stick-built homes.
