Friends may be knocking on their door or calling for a chance to visit the owners of this 384-square-foot cottage built as a guest house in Mancelona, Michigan – not far from Traverse City to the west and the Upper Penninsula to the north. When Thomas Fay decided on the guest space, he wanted something he could build himself.
“I chose Mighty Small Homes because it fit the bill and I have not been disappointed. The process of design and construction has been smooth and personally rewarding, Fay said.
The Cottage model is built on a basement foundation and incorporates the optional metal roofing and a porch.
“Everything came together nicely with excellent fit and finish,” he said.
